Pfc. Kenneth E. Leffler, 21, Burlington, was killed in action in France Oct. 2, according to a war department telegram received Saturday afternoon by his people. Leffler is the husband of Mrs. Darlene Nelson Leffler of Burlington, and son of Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Leffler, Agency road. He served in the infantry. The soldier had been in service since May 5, 1943 and went overseas in May of 1943, first to Italy, then to France, His brother Jack is in service on New Caledonia. Kenneth is survived by his widow; his parents; 3 sisters, Mrs. Harry Magel, Mrs. Roy Brandt, and Katherine Leffler; 4 brothers, Chester, Walter John and Donald.
