George Kisinger II Born April 15, 1786. Died February 2, 1872. Buried in Aspen Cemetery, Lot 13, Burlington, Iowa. (Enter at Corse St. Gate and make a 180 deg. turn to Lot 13. Born in Frederick Co., Maryland. He is buried next to his unmarried daughter, Martha. She was born August 28, 1815 and died August 29, 1890. He was married to Nancy McCormick in Jefferson County, Maryland in 1815. She was born in Jefferson County, Virginia in November 27, 1798 and died in Van Buren County Iowa on November 15, 1852 and is buried in Pittsburgh, Iowa cemetery. He served in The War of 1812 where he lost his arm. He was Postmaster of Pittsburg, Iowa at one time. Children born of this marriage were 1. James Ross Kisinger born in Berkley Co., Virginia May 3, 1817. He married Anne Young of Columbus, Ohio July 31, 1838. He died in Young County, Texas March 5, 1898. He is buried with his wife in the Finnis Cemetery in the SE Corner of Jack County, Texas. 2. Bladen Kisinger who died June 22, 1898. 3. Martha (Margaret) Jane Kisinger born August 28, 1815 and died August 29, 1890. 4. Scott Kisinger died January 26, 1867. 5. George Jr. Kisinger died November 17, 18555 at Vicksburg, Mississippi. 6.Raliegh Kisinger died May 17, 1855 of Typhoid Fever at Althouse Creek, California. 7. John Kisinger died June 18, 1876 of Lung Fever.
