Obituary
The funeral of the Rev. William Brown,m a native of this city, who passed away at his home at Union Star, Mo., last Saturday, was held from the residence of his sister, Mrs. Anna Staples, at No. 401 South 4th street, yesterday morning at 10:30 o'clock. The interment was at Aspen Grove cemetery. The services were conducted by the Rev. R.L. Hurlburt, D.D. pastor of the First M.E. church. Those acting as pall-bearers were Charles Blanke, I.N. Ripley, I.S.Shontz, Peter Fawcett, G.W. Turner and John L. Waite. Many relatives of the deceased came to attend the funeral services, among them being the widow, Mrs. William m. Brown, of Union Star, Mo., her daughter, Mrs. Fred Crosby, of Kansas City, and the son of the deceased, Clarence Brown, as well as a number of other relatives from Viola, Illinois.
