Tony Borrego, 50, formerly of Burlington, Iowa, died at Morning Sun Care Center, Morning Sun, Iowa, on Thursday morning, June 20, 2013.
Born on March 18, 1963 in Brownsville, Texas, he was the son of Daniel H. and Felisiana Estrada Borrego.
Tony liked baseball, both college and professional and was constantly listening to the radio. He also enjoyed the outdoors and riding his bike. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
He is survived by one daughter, Juana Borrego of Burlington, Iowa; one step-daughter, Jessica Carrington of Burlington, Iowa; three sisters, Eolisa Morales of Houston, Texas, Juanita Borrego of Burlington, Iowa and Frances Butcher of West Lafayette, Indiana; one grandson, Jaymeir Borrego of Burlington, Iowa; and one brother, Teodoro Borrego of Anamosa, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
No formal services are planned, cremation has been accorded. Interment of ashes will be at a later date. Condolences may be left at www.prughfuneralservice.com.
