Mrs. Helen L. Bliesener, 83, of 1326 N. Seventh, died Sunday at 7:15 am at the Burlington medical center.
She was born here June 19, 1896, to Sanford and Alice Pilcher Russell, and married Rudolph Bliesener here July 16, 1918; he died Sept. 29, 1978.
She was a member of the First United Church of Christ and auxiliaries for Railroad and WWI Veterans.
Surviving: two sons, Sanford and Ronald, both of Burlington; a daughter, Dorothy, Burlington; a brother, Charles Russell, Burlington; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services 10 am Wednesday, Lunning Chapel, the Rev. Alvin Volle; Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established at First United Church of Christ.
