Mrs. Fred Bliesener, 66, of 1304 Oak Street, resident of Burlington most of her life, died in Burlington hospital at 3:00 Sunday morning, the result of a stroke which she suffered Friday.
Dorothy Wiswadel was born in Germany on Oct. 18, 1865, coming to Burlington when she was only four years old with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wiswadel. She was married in 1891 to Fred Bliesener, who survives her. She was a member of the First Evangelical church, the Royal Neighbors lodge, the Turners auxiliary, and the ladies aid society of the First Evangelical church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Glen Whitman, a son, RH Bliesener, and two grandchildren, Sanford and Ronald Bliesener of Burlington.
Funeral services will be held at First Evangelical church Thursday afternoon at 2:30, preceded by short services at the residence at 2:00, with burial in Aspen Grove Cemetery. The body will be taken to the residence from Unterkircher’s funeral home tomorrow morning at 10:00.
