Dr. Dale E. Boortz, aged 61, of 601 N. 6th, passed away on October 5th at 6:05 a.m. at Burlington Medical Center. He was a retired chiropractor and a member of the Creston Methodist Church. Born on July 21, 1912, in Creston to Ernest and Della Ballard Boortz, he married Cathryn Hoar on November 7, 1940, in Oskaloosa. Besides his wife, Cathryn, he is survived by his family. Committal services will be held on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Aspen Grove cemetery, officiated by Reverend John W. Brigham.
