Obituary
Mrs. Lanessa M. Young, 69, of 416 Columbia street, died at 10 o'clock last night at Mercy hospital, where she had been a patient for eight weeks. Mrs. Young was the oldest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Prughs and was born in Burlington November 28, 1856. She attended the public schools of this city and was a graduate of the Burlington High School. On March 21, 1883, she was married to Theo. M. Young of Glen Haven, Wis., in Burlington by Rev. William Salter. Mr. and Mrs. Young lived at Glen Haven, Wis., several years, then moved to Lancaster, Wis. where Mr. Young died December 7, 1908. After the death, of her husband, Mrs. Young came back to Burlington and had lived here ever since. She was a member of the Congregational church, the King's Daughters, and the Eastern Star. She leaves one brother, Burt A. Prugh of Burlington. During the last few years, Mrs. Young had traveled extensively. Posessed of many high qualities of character, she was held in high esteem by all with whom she came in contact. Funeral services will be held from Prugh's chapel Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, followed by burial in Aspen Grove cemetery.
