Obituary

Funeral services for Curtis E. Watts, 17, of 922 S. Eighth, who died at University hospitals, Iowa City on Sunday, Nov. 21, will be held at the Lunning Chapel at 10;30 a.m. Wednesday. Mr. Watts died of injuries suffered in an Oct. 32 traffic accident. Officiating will be the Rev. Norman Wenig, the Rev. Vern Anderson and the Rev. Daniel Davis. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial to Burlington High School , where he was a senior, has been established. Mr. Watts was born in Burlington Aug. 24, 1965, to Jerry and Norma Gapen Watts. He was a member of Distributive Education Clubs of America, and of BMX car-racing club. He was employed at Bickel's Bicycle Shop. Surviving: The parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Watts and Mr. and Mrs. Michael Boney, all of Burlington; two brothers, Kim DuQue, Minot, N. Dak., and R. Mitchell Smith, Burlington; four sisters, Julie Ann Watts, Katie Marie Boney, and Michelle and Christie Smith, all of Burlington; and grandparents Lola Watts, Leslie E Watts, and Bertha Gapen, all of Burlington.
