Services for Francis E. Bonar, 42, 1012 N 9th, who died Friday at Mercy Hospital, will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Wallen-Nelson chapel. The Rev. J. Dempster Yinger will officiate. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
He had suffered from a heart condition for about five years.
He was born in Burlington, on July 29, 1920, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Bonar. He was married in Davenport on May 18, 1946, to Marceline Jones.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Donna and Sharon; two sons, Gary and Russell; his father; Burlington; two brothers, Waterford, Mich.; and two sisters, Margaret Schmidt, Burlington; and Mrs. Evelyn Armstrong, Holland, Mich. His mother, a brother, and a sister are dead.
He was employed as a bodyman for a motor company for 22 years, quitting in 1957 because of ill health.
