Miss Emma Zerneke, 79, 119 S Marshall, died at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25, at St. Francis Continuation Care center. She was born here in 1886 to Herman and Elizabeth Ross Zerneke. She never married. Miss Zerneke was a retired Northwestern Bell telephone operator, and a member of First United Church of Christ. Surviving: Sisters Mrs. florence Ray, Monmouth, Ill; Mrs. Ruth Balzer, Chicago. Funeral; 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Prugh's chapel, Rev. Alvin Volie; Aspen Grove cemetery.
