Herbert Edward Zeller, 59, 2910 West Ave., died Friday, Nov.22, at Veterans hospital, Iowa City, following an extended illness. He was born Match 24, 1915, in Burlington, the son of August and Alice Hippe Zeller. He married Marcella Abendroth in Burlington Jan. 7, 1945. Mr. Zeller was a building contractor for 21 years, member of the Eagles lodge and St. Paul United Church of Christ in West Burlington. He was a World War II Army veteran. Surviving: The wife; two sons. James and David, both at home; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Godden, Santee, Calif., and Mrs. Donna Fryrear, Burlington; three sisters, Mrs. Marie Brehm, Hernandos, Fla., Mrs. Frances Kuntz, Denmark, and Mrs. Marjorie Walingford, Burlington; his stepmother, Mrs. Clara Zeller, Burlington; three grandchildren. Funeral: 1:30 p.m.Tuesday, Prugh's chapel, Rev. J.A. Frieboes; Aspen Grove cemetery. A memorial has been established to the Arthritis Foundation.
