Ervin Carl Bonar, 66, of rural Fairfield, died Saturday, July 8, 1995, at his home.
Born Aug. 15, 1928, in Burlington he was the son of Carl and Lula Barcus Bonar. On July 12, 1947, he married Anita Rutherford in Burlington.
Mr. Bonar had lived in Jefferson County since 1955. He also had lived in Morning Sun. He worked as a machinist at Rockwell International in Fairfield until his retirement in April 1995. He also farmed.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fairfield.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ronald C. Bonar of Versailles, Mo., and Gary L. Bonar of Salem; six grandchildren; two brothers, Glen Bonar of Yarmouth and Earl Bonar of Burlington.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, one sister, and one brother.
The body of Mr. Bonar has been cremated.
A memorial service for Mr. Bonar will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church in Fairfield, with the Rev. Kenneth Royar officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield is in charge of arrangements
