Blanch Lillian Zaiser, 88, of Burlington, died at 7:57 a.m. Sunday, May 26, 1996, at Burlington Medical Center. Born April 5, 1908, in Denmark, she was the daughter of James and Lillia Ivens Bazel. On Nov. 29, 1933, she married Lester O. Zaiser in Burlington. He died Feb. 6, 1990. Mrs. Zaiser was co-founder and operator of Zaiser Sunnyside Florist for 45 years until her retirement. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, secreatary of the Sunday school class at BMC Klein Unit, a 50-year member and past worthy high priestess of Order of the Palastine Shrine No.11, a 50-year member of E.C. Blackmar Order of the Eastern Star, VFW Auxiliary and Ladies' Auxiliary of United Commercial Travelers and past counselor. Survivors include one son, Robert Lester Zaiser of Burlington; one daughter, Betty Stiles of Hermando, Fla.; six grand-children; three great-grandchildren; one brother, John Bazel of St. Louis, Mo.; and one sister, Jennie Drinkall of Burlington. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two infant siblings. Visitation will begin after noon Tuesday in Lunning Chapel. where the family will meet with friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The funeral for Miss Zaiser will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Lunning Chapel, with the Revs. David Rogula and Barrie Tritle officiating. Burial has been established for First United Methodist Church.
