Roy H. Zachmeyer, 84, of 110 Sweeney Ave., died at 5:20 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, 1991, at St. Luke's Hospital, Davenport. Born Jan. 5, 1907, in Burlington, he was the son of Ed and Cora Bazel Zachmeyer. He was a machinist at J.I. Case Company, retiring with 31 years of service. He was of the Methodist faith and a member of the North End Boating Association. Surviving are one son, Gary Zachmeyer, Burlington; four brothers, Milo Zachmeyer and Dale Zachmeyer, both of Burlington, and Norval Zachmeyer and Cleo Zachmeyer, both of Marion; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Prugh's Chapel. The service for Mr. Zachmeyer will be 1 :30 p.m. Monday at Prugh's Chapel with the Rev. Wesley Lawrence officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
