Edward L. Bolte, 56, of Route 1, died at 8:05 a.m. Wednesday, March 8, 1989, at Burlington Medical Center.
Born May 28, 1932, in Fort Madison, he was the son of Leo F. and Edna Schurr Bolte. He married Ruth Irene Smith on June 18, 1955, in Fort Madison.
He was employed with the JI Case Co. He was a US Navy veteran of the Korean conflict. He was of the Roman Catholic faith and was a member of the United Auto Workers, the Eagles Lodge, and the Knights of Columbus.
Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Karen Sue (Raymond) Smith, Burlington; and one grandson.
Visitation will follow a Christian wake service at 7 p.m., Friday at Prugh’s Chapel.
The service for Mr. Bolte will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for the Cancer Fund.
