Ella "Pat" J. Young, 71 of 105 Belmont Court, Burlington died at 10:45 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 1994, at Burlington Medical Center. Born March 6, 1922, in Patterson, MO., she was the daughter of Rooy and Ella J. Harvey Kinnison. On March 31, 1944, she married Kenneth E. Young at Mount Pleasant. He died Dec. 9, 1978. Mrs. Young was a graduate of Patterson High School in Patterson, Mo. She retired as a housekeeper at Holiday Inn in Burlilngton. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a member of VFW Post 10102 Ladies Auxiliary and the AARP. Survivors include two daughters, Janet Duncan and Carol Gapen, both of West Burlington; three grandchildren, Robert Gapen of Burlington, and Jean Gapen and Kerry Duncan, both of West Burlington; one sister, Marge Frakes of Mount Vernon, Ill.; and two brothers, Ed Kinnison of Broomfield, Colo., and Robert Kinnison of Burlington. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two brothers. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Sunday at Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The funeral for Mrs. Young will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Lunning Chapel with Chaplain David Mixon officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
