Bernard Everett Young, 49, of 625 S. Fourth, died at his home Wednesday at 5:10 a.m. apparently of a heart attack. He was born Nov. 12, 1917, at Hartwick, ia., the son of Harry and Anna Hansen Young. Apr. 19, 1941. at Palmyra, Mo., he married Kathryn Wilson. He was a carpenter at the SSS Foundry in West Burlington and a member of the Nazarene church. Surviving: The wife; two daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Bernadine) Murphy and Mrs. Ronald (Lorene) Herman, both of Burlington; four sons, James, Bobby, Michael and Kirk, all at home; two granddaughters and five grandsons; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Young, Burlington; three brothers, Virgil Young, West Burlington, Kenneth and Gerald Young, both of Burlington; a number of nieces and nephews. Services: 2 p.m. Friday, Prugh's Chapel; Aspen Grove cemetery.
