Irwin Walter Young, 86, 249 St. died Thursday, Jan. 17, 1991, at his home. Born Aug. 9, 1904, in Burlington, he was the son of Joseph and Clara Woods Young. He married Lillian Tucker in March 1948 in Burlington. He was a decendent of a pioneer family of early Burlington. He was a cook on Charles Perkins' private railroad car, and later was employed as a cook at the Hotel Burlington and several other businesses. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a catholic. Surviving are his wife and several cousins. The family will receive friends at Prugh's Funeral Service, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. The graveside service for Mr. Young will be at 1;30 p.m. Monday in Aspen Grove Cemetery, with the Rev. Fred Starling officiating.
