Herbert Young, 74, of 715 Lewis, died at his home Sunday at 6;30 p.m.as the result of an apparent heart attack. He was born in Burlington on Feb. 10, 1888, the son of Henry and Martha Schmidt Young. On Feb. 20, 1917, he married Anna Wunderlich in Burlington. He had worked for Burlington Municipal Waterworks, retiring about 10 years ago. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran church. Surviving are his wife; one son, Mark, at home; one sister, Mrs. Will Hoambrecher, Mediapolis; several nieces and nephews. Services will be held in Prugh's Chapel, Wednesday at 2 p.m. Rev. Mr. Earl Meissner officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
