Harry E. Young, 89, Elmview Care Center, died at 2:30 a.m. Saturday, at Burlington Medical Center. He was born Aug. 30, 1894, in Marengo, to William and Wilma McElroy Young. He married Anna D. Hansen Dec. 16, 1916, in Marengo. She died Dec. 13, 1978. He was a farmer and had worked for the Iowa Highway Commission and IAAP as a steam fitter. He was a Methodist and belonged to the Steamfitters Union. Surviving: Two sons, Gerald, Burlington, and Virgil, West Burlington; two brothers, Marion, Grapevine, Texas, and Vern, Blairstown; two sisters, Clara Heller, Grundy Center, and Ina Brown, Clarinda; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. Services: 1 p.m. Monday, Lunning Chapel, the Rev. Wesley Lawrence officiating; Aspen Grove Cemetery.
