Mrs. Ada Eland Young, 83, of 1821 Mt. Pleasant, died at 10:10 a.m. Sunday in Mercy hospital. Mrs. Young was born in Mediapolis on Aug. 26, 1882, the daughter of Lewis and Malinda Burhmaster Wagner. In Dec. 1898 she was married to a Mr. Eland who died in 1941. She then married Edward Young in 1944, who also died previously. Mrs. Young had lived in Burlington the past 45 years. She was a member of Grace Methodist Church, the Martha Cowles Chapter of the Kings Daughters, and the Eastern Star. Surviving: A son and two daughters, john Eland, Mrs. Florence Cady and Mrs. Edna Miller, all of Burlington, four grandsons. Services: 3:30 p.m. Tuesday; Prugh Chapel; Rev. Frank O. Johnson; Aspen Grove cemetery.
