Kathryn Frances Yoder, 93, of West Burlington, died at 2:50 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007, at Blair House in Burlington. Born Oct. 25, 1914, in Galesburg, Ill., she was the daughter of Max J. and Ila Riggs Schaefer. On June 8, 1940, she married Henry A. Yoder in Burlington. He died Sept. 7, 1976. Mrs. Yoder worked in the office at Surgeons, Inc. She was a member of Harmony Bible Church. She enjoyed being a member of her bridge club, A.C.B.L., and she enjoyed reading. Survivors include one son, M. Daniel Yoder of Lamont, Pa.; one daughter, Ila Heyland of Wever; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Harmon of Dover, Ohio; nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons and her parents. No formal visitation is planned. Friends may call after 8 a.m. Monday at Prugh's Chapel in Burlington. The funeral for Mrs. Yoder will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Aspen Grove Cemetery with Dan Dingus officiating. A memorial has been established.
