George A. Yoder, 85, of the New London Care Center, formerly of West Burlington, died at 10:10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, 1989, at Burlington Medical Center. Born Sept. 12, 1904, in Casey, he was the son of George D. and Minnie Richman Yoder. He married Ruth A. Nelson May 9, 1945, in Burlington. She preceded him in death. He was a retired Railway Mail Postal Clerk. He was a World War II veteran of the US Army. He was a member of the Railway Mail Clerks Union. he was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Louise Koeph, Burlington, and Mrs. Fay Cade, Arkansas; and a number of nieces and nephews. The service for Mr. Yoder will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Aspen Grove Cemetery, with the Rev. Paul Lindhorst officiating. A memorial has been established for Our Savior Lutheran Church.
