Obituary

Abraham Yoder, 72, of 1714 S. Sixteenth, died at Mercy hospital Thursday evening following an extended illness. Born in Falls City, Neb., on Aug. 29, 1881, he was married to Mable Everett in Des Moines on Feb. 20, 1910 and had been a resident of Burlington for over 30 years. He was a retired shoe salesman. During his residence here he retained his membership in the First Christian church of Falls City. Surviving are his widow; a son son, William E., Freeport, Ill., a daughter, Mrs. Phil Heiniger, Kingston; a brother, Homer, Troy, Kans.; a sister, Mrs. L.E. Swearingen, Falls City; and a grandson. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Wallen chapel, with the Rev. L.Z. Patton officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
