Mrs. Nellie Myrtle Yates, 93, Davenport Lutheran Home, a former resident of West Burlington, died Thursday, July 26, at the Lutheran Home. She was born Oct. 12, 1890, at Gladstone, ill., to Ira Oscar and Nancy Frances Kemp Ellis. She married Samuel Yates Oct. 1, 1919, at West Burlington; he died April 27, 1960. Mrs. Yates was a member of the United Methodist Church and the World War I Veterans Auxiliary. surviving: Two daughters, Clara Esposito, Altamonte Springs, Fla., and Dorothy Feldmann, Moline, ill.; five gran-children; and four great-grand children. The body is at Prugh's Chaple.
