Mrs. Clara E. Bogner, 80, Cedar Rapids, a former Burlington resident, died at 2:35 am Tuesday, April 9, at her home.
She was born Oct. 30, 1893, in Lockridge, Iowa, the daughter of Louis and Mary Graf Achenbach. She married Louie Bogner in Lockridge Feb. 8, 1917; he died Feb. 28, 1957. She was a self-employed pie baker, a member of Concordia Lutheran church an honorary member of the church’s Ladies Aid, and the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.
Surviving: three daughters, Mrs. Ralph Ruber, Escondido, Calif., Mrs. Lennie Miller, Edgerton, Wis., and Mrs. Verle Francik, Cedar Rapids, with whom she made her home; one son, Darrell, Cedar Rapids; 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Bogner, former Burlington resident, who passed away April 9, 1974, at Cedar Rapids, will be held in Prugh’s Chapel Friday morning at 10:30 o’clock. Rev. Mr. Leonard C. Newmann will officiate. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Prugh’s Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00.
