Elisabeth Boetz, 98, of Burlington, died at 8:08 pm Saturday, April 17, 2004, at Rosebush Gardens Health Center.
Born on April 18, 1906, in Mekenyes, Hungary, she was the daughter of Johann and Elisabeth Habich Krahling. On Jan. 10, 1922, she married Johann Boetz in Mekenyes. He died on May 5, 1988.
Mrs. Boetz worked at Selby’s for 15 years. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening and crocheting.
Survivors include one daughter, Katharina Schmidt of West Burlington; one son, John Boetz of Burlington; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and one niece.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, one great-grandson, and one brother.
Visitation will be from noon to 8:30 pm today at Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 pm.
The funeral for Mrs. Boetz will be at 1 pm Wednesday at Lunning Chapel, with Rev. Carl Engstrom officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
