Johann Boetz, 91, of 1410 Mount Pleasant St., died at 4:13 am Thursday, May 5, 1988, at Burlington Medical Center.
Born Oct. 14, 1896, in Hungary, he was the son of Johann and Katharina Wink Boetz. He married Elisabeth Krahling Jan. 10, 1922, in Hungary.
He had been employed with the Northwest Cabinet Co. and the city of Burlington. He was a member of the Bethan Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Katharina Schmidt, West Burlington; one son John Boetz, Burlington; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 Friday at Lunning Chapel.
The service for Mr. Boetz will be 2 pm Saturday at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Chris Hansen officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
Memorials have been established for the Bethany Lutheran Church and the Cancer Society.
