Lucille Wittkamp, 95, of Burlington, died Tuesday, July 19, 2016, in Zellwood, FL.
Born October 5, 1920, in Burlington, she was the daughter of John and Jennie Morrison Zachmeyer. On September 5, 1938, she married Elmer Paul Wittkamp in Burlington. He died October 25, 2002.
After raising her four children, she got into real estate and was a broker and realtor for her own company, Wittkamp Realty.
She was a very active member of Oak Street Baptist Church, and was also a member of the Burlington Golf Club and Carthage Lake Club. She was an avid bridge player and would give bridge lessons. She enjoyed golfing, fishing, and counted cross stitch. She was always helping people.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary (Jean-Luc) Wittkamp of Apopka, FL, and Susan (Kenneth) Foard of Springfield, IL; two sons, Rodney (Deborah) Wittkamp and David (Pam) Wittkamp, both of Burlington; 12 grandchildren, Amy (Duane) Green, Jon (Kim) Wittkamp, Jill (Nick) Jamal, Karla Jefferson, Kevin (Stacia) Wittkamp, Kelsey (Chris) Benson, Katrina (Steve) Wittkamp, Samuel (Shelly) West, Melinda (Mike) Clark, William (Natalia) Foard, Katherine Morales, Christine (Jerry) Fox; 32 great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and three sisters.
Visitation will be from noon until 7:00 PM with the family to receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday, July 29, 2016, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home & Crematory.
The funeral service for Mrs. Wittkamp will be 10:00 AM Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home & Crematory with Reverend Gary Karas officiating. A time of food and fellowship will be held in the community room at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home & Crematory following the service. Cremation will be entrusted to the care of Prugh~Thielen Crematory following the service. A graveside committal service and inurnment will be Monday, August 1, 2016, at Aspen Grove Cemetery.
