Obituary
Myron Neil Wiseman, 64, of Burlington, died at 12 p.m. Monday, July 14, 2008, at Great River Hospice House in West Burlington. Born July 15, 1943, in Keokuk, he was the son of Ennos W. and Eilean L. Blincoe Wiseman. On March 8, 1968, he married Judy Marie Thomas in Danville. Mr. Wiseman was a welder and sandblaster at Modern Welding. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed woodworking, auto repair, welding, camping and mushroom hunting. Survivors include his wife; his mother of Fort Madison; four sons, Myron D Wiseman, Byron N. Wiseman, and Brian K. Wiseman, all of Burlington, and Michael E. Wiseman of Muscatine; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Wiseman of Chehalis, Wash., and Ryan Wiseman of Columbus, Ohio; two sisters, Jan Allburn of Glouster, Ohio, and Bev Ort of rural Denmark; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hass-Thielen Funeral Home in Burlington, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral for Mr. Wiseman will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Chapel of Hass-Thielen Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dean Graber officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established for Great River Hospice House.
