Donald Russell Wilson, 84, of Kirksville, MO, died at 2:07 a.m. Monday, January 18, 2010, at Northeast Regional Medical Center, Kirksville, MO. Born July 14, 1925, in Hannibal, MO, he was the son of George Frederick and Gladys M. Henson Wilson. Mr. Wilson worked as an international sales representative for Chicago and Iowa companies from 1951 to 1993. He worked as a farm implement sales representative for Bob Fisher in Cedar Falls. He graduated from Burlington High School and Southeast Iowa Junior College. He earned a Master's degree at University of Iowa in 1950. He served as a sergeant with the Army Air Force during World War II. He was a member of the Episcopal Church. He spoke several languages. He enjoyed history, humor, and people. Survivors include one niece, Kimberley Farmer of Glenwood, MO; and three nephews, Russell Wilson of Moline, IL, Kevin Wilson of Davenport, and Keith Wilson of Bellnap. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. The memorial service with military rites for Mr. Wilson will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Prugh's Chapel in Burlington, with the Rev. George Rogerson officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington.
