Virginia L. Wills, 91, of Burlington for the past 80 years, died at 7:48 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2000, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington. Born Dec. 10, 1908, in Galesburg, Ill., she was the daughter of Charles William and Louise B. Koch Fink. She married Horace Edgar Wills on Sept. 17, 1927, in Burlington. He died March 18, 1987. Mrs. Wills was a homemaker. She was a graduate of Burlington High School, and a member of St. Luke United Church of Christ, Railroad Veterans, Eastern Star Lodge 545, White Shrine, and Daughters of the Nile. She enjoyed bingo, crocheting, knitting, and ceramicss, and was an avid Cubs fan. Survivors include two sons, Charles and James Wills, both of Burlington; 18 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, one son, and one granddaughter. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday in Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 3:30 p.m. The funeral for Mrs. Wills will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Lunning Chapel, with the Rev. Vicki Engelmann officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. Memorials have been established for Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children and St. Luke United Church of Christ.
