Dorothy Lucille Williams, 81, of Burlington, died at 6:25 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2009, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington. Born December 29, 1927, in Schulyer County, IL, she was the daughter of Leon and Hulda E. Nothern Davis. On December 11, 1945, she married John K. Parker in Macomb, Ill. They divorced. On July 29, 1962, she married Robert Lee Williams in Macomb. Mrs. Williams worked as a school bus driver for Burlington Community Schools. She attended Old Threshers Reunion in Mount Pleasant for 32 years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and going to the casino. Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Sharon K. Whitham of Burlington; one son, John "Butch" Parker of West Burlington; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three brothers, Leon "J.R." Davis, and Richard Davis, both of Macomb, and Joseph Davis of North Carolina; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.. Tuesday at Hass-Thielen Funeral Home in Burlington, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral for Mrs. Williams will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hass-Thielen Funeral Home, with the Rev. Trevor Davis officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetry in Burlington. A memorial has been established for Great River Hospice House.
