Mary C. Williams, 91, of Bickford Cottage, formerly of West Burlington, died at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, February 18, 2010, at Great River Medical Center. Born March 6, 1918, in Burlington, she was the daughter of William and Catherine Rinker Ebbesmier. On September 15, 1940, she married Robert J. Williams in Kahoka, MO. He died in 1994. Mrs. Williams was a St. Paul's Catholic High School graduate, and attended Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. She retired from National Research Bureau. Mrs. Williams was a member of SS. John and Paul Catholic Church. Survivors include one daughter, Marsha Whitham of Burlington; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, her parents, one brother, and one sister. Friends may call from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Lunning Chapel. The private family graveside funeral service and burial for Mrs. Williams will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery, with the Rev. Patrick Hilgendorf officiating. A memorial has been established for SS. John and Paul Catholic Church.
