Richard V. Wiese, 76, of Minneapolis, died Saturday, April 22, 2000, in Minneapolis. Born April 9, 1924, in Burlington, he was the son of Rowland E. and Bertha J. Wiemer Wiese. After leaving Burlington, he lived in Omaha, Neb., St. Joseph, Mo., St. Louis, and Minneapolis. He was a 1944 graduate of Kirkwood, Mo. High School, and a 1949 graduate of Indiana Tech in Fort Wayne as a mechanical engineer. Mr. Wiese worked for MacDonnell Aircraft, now part of Boeing and Control Data in Minneapolis. He was a member of Lake Harriet United Methodist Church, the Mercedes Benz Club, and a dinner club. He made yearly visits to Burlington for the Fritz-Wiemer family reunions. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Jean; one sister, Marion Ludwig of Bridgeville, Pa.; two nephews; four nieces; and many cousins. The body has been cremated. Burial will be at a later date in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
