Obituary
On last evening at 9 o'clock, William L. Adams passed away at his home, No. 928 West Valley street. Deceased was born May 21, 1834, at Philadelphia. In 1871 he came west, since which time he has resided in Burlington. In 1882 he entered into a partnership with James H. Jacoby in the trunk and traveling goods business at No. 209 Main street.
The deceased had been afflicted with Bright's disease for the last nine years. He was a man respected by all who knew him, honest, upright and conscientious in all his dealings with his fellow men. He leaves a widow, his only child having preceded him some years ago. He was a member of the Odd Fellows also the Encampment; also a member of the State A.O.U.W. and the Iowa Legion of Honor, Announcement of the funeral later.
