Mary Lou Bobbitt, 78, of Plano, Texas, formerly of Mount Pleasant, died at 10:55 pm Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2000, at Life Care in Plano.
Born March 15, 1922, in Monmouth, Ill., she was the daughter of Leon and Helen Beaty McMillan. She married John CA Bobbitt. He died in 1978.
Mrs. Bobbitt was a 1943 graduate of Western Illinois University. She was a housewife and was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include one son, John Bobbitt of Plano; and one granddaughter.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents. There will be no formal visitation.
The graveside committal service for Mrs. Mary Lou Bobbitt, 78, of Plano, Texas, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, who died on Tuesday, August 15, 2000, at Life Care in Plano, Texas, will be held in Aspen Grove Cemetery on Saturday, August 26, 2000, at 2:00 pm, Rev. Dennis Tevis will officiate. As per the family's request, the casket will remain closed. Those wishing to attend the services are requested to meet at the Sunnyside Avenue entrance to the cemetery at 1:45 pm.
