Obituary
A committal service for Mrs. Harriett L. Peel Adams, 76, who died at St. Francis Continuation Care Center Monday, Nov. 23, will be held in Aspen Grove Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dr. David J. Seitz officiating. The body is at Prugh's Chapel.
Mrs. Adams was born Sept. 5, 1906, to George and Alice Yocum Peel, in Burlington, where she married Clarence S. Adams on March 24, 1941; he died March 3, 1976.
The couple operated the former Peel's Confectionery at Ninth and Angular Streets for many years.
Mrs. Adams was a member of First Christian Church, the OES, and the Altrusa Club.
Surviving: Two cousins, William Peel, Keokuk, and Edna Cronk, Burlington.
