Edward Franklin Adams, 65, police officer at Crapo park for 20 years, died Saturday at 11:55 p.m. at his home, 2001 S. 12th street, after an illness of one and one-half years. He was born in Burlington, June 17, 1882, the son of Franklin and Martha Lynch Adams. Aug. 3, 1903, he married Susie Fahlgren in Burlington. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and had been the park policeman until poor health forced his retirement.
Surviving is his widow; 3 daughters. Mrs. Harriet Foley, Burlington, Mrs. Hazel Brightwell, Richland, Wash, and Mrs. Lorrain Miller, Plainfield NJ, 4 sisters, Mrs. Grace Erickson, Burl., Mrs. Frances Sickenger, Mrs. Minnie Peterson of Florence, Wis and Mrs. Henrietta Sutter, Hannibal; and 4 grandchildren. A son, Horace, is dead. Services will be held Wednesday.
