Mrs. Sarah Acres, wife of Mr. Stephen T. Acres, of the firm of Acres, Blackmar & Co. died very suddenly yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the effects of an apoplectic stroke, in the sixty-sixth year of her age. She had been unwell for some time, her illness resulting in her demise yesterday. Mrs. Acres was universally esteemed for her many excellent qualities and her Christian-like virtues, and the receipt of the news of her death will occasion many sincere expressions of regret from all who enjoyed her acquaintance. The funeral announcement will be made hereafter.
