Anna M. Blunk, 56, of Kahoka, Missouri and formerly of New London, died, Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at her home in Kahoka.
Ms. Blunk was born December 20, 1958 in Charleston, Illinois, the daughter of Robert Ray and Patsy Joan Cutright Blunk. She worked at Metromail in Mt. Pleasant for many years, and also at Casey's in Keokuk, and in health care. She enjoyed her garden and flowers. She was an avid animal lover, especially cats and dogs. Ms. Blunk liked to collect Indian art featuring wolves, dream catchers, porcelain dolls, and antique dishes. She attended school in New London and the Mt. Union Methodist Church.
She is survived by her significant other, Terry Parsons of Kahoka; her mother, Patsy Isle of Winfield; two sisters, Tena (Roy) Dixon of Burlington and Lorie (Bill) VanAmerongen of Winfield; one brother, Michael Blunk of Mt. Pleasant; nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her father, and one brother, Tony Blunk.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Elliott Chapel, New London. Pastor David Mixon will officiate. Per her wishes, her body has been cremated and inurnment will be held at a later date. Because of her love for animals, a memorial has been established for the Des Moines County Humane Society.
