Robert "Bob" L. Duerr passed away at his home on Monday, October 23, 2006. He had been in declining health for some months. Robert was born on March 11, 1922, to Carl and Marie Duerr in Clinton, MO. He graduated from Clinton High School and attended the University of Missouri, prior to his service in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. Following his discharge he worked for Sheaffer Pen Company, traveling throughout Europe, the Middle East, Japan, Hong Kong, and the United States. He settled in the San Francisco area where he met his future wife, Jane. After his retirement from Transamerica, they moved to Boise to be near their only son and family, who brought much joy to Bob and Jane's life. Bob is survived by his wife, Jane; son, Dr. Robert Duerr, his wife, Elaine and their children Conrad and Taylor; as well as his sister, Margaret Hartner of Des Moines, Iowa. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 31, at 1 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, Boise, Idaho. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Luke's Hospice or First Presbyterian Church, Boise, Idaho. Services are under the direction of Cloverdale Funeral Home.
