Obituary

Joseph E Abrisz, 1431 Gnahn, died in Mercy hospital at 4:40 p.m. on Easter Sunday. He had been in failing health for one year.
For the past 35 years, Abrisz had been employed in the office of Lagomarcino-Grupe company. He was the son of Peter and Mammie Anderson Abrisz and was born in Burlington on June 19, 1900. On Feb 5, 1920, he was married to Hazel M. Goetz in Burlington,
Abrisz was a member of First Christian Church and of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Surviving, besides the wife, is a son and three daughters; Mrs. Arvid Egert, Molin, Il and Richard P Abrisz, Mrs. William Schweers and Mrs Roy Balbort, all of Burlington and seven grandchildren.
Two brothers also survive Edward A. Koch, San Francisco, and Paul R. Koch, of Burlington. A son, three daughters and two sisters died previously.
Last rites will be conducted by the Rev Lloyd Z. Patton, pastor of First Christian church at the Prugh chapel at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
