Grace Arlene Westfall, 76, of Burlington, died at 3:45 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2007, at Parkview Care Center.Born Oct. 14, 1930, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Richard Bates and Catharine Dorothea Wegener Walker. On Sept. 21, 1950, she married Robert Anthony Westfall in Burlington. He died April 25, 1984. Mrs. Westfall was a cosmetologist. She owned and operated Grade's Beauty Shop for 35 years. She was a 1947 graduate of New London High School and a 1948 graduate of Burlington Beauty Academy. She was of the Methodist faith. She was a member of the American Legion and VFW, 40 & 8 Park, and American Legion Drum & Bugle Corp. She liked to crochet, play piano, and grow houseplants and tomatoes. Survivors include one son, Marvin A. Westfall of Burlington; one daughter, Deborah A. McCulloch of Burlington; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Albert L. Walker of Davenport and LaVerne H. Walker of Chehalis, Wash.; one sister, Kathryn L Miller of Burlington; nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers. Visitation will be two hours before the service Thursday at Prugh's Chapel in Burlington, from 5 to 7 p.m. with the family present. The funeral for Mrs. Westfall will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Prugh's Chapel with the Rev. Bettyanna Bremer officiating. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
