Charles M. Abendroth, 76,408 S. 10th, died at 7:45 a.m. Saturday in Mercy hospital after a short illness.
He was born Feb. 3, 1880, in Germany, the son of William and Augusta Abendroth. He came to this country 44 years ago and was formerly an ice cream maker in Burlington.
He was a member of Bethany Lutheran church.
Surviving is a son George W. Abendroth, Compton, Calif; also several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from Giles funeral home. Dr. M.E. Lehmann will officiate. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
