Obituary

Mrs. Catherine Harriet Abbott. 612 Summer street, a resident of Burlington for 59 years, died at Burlington hospital Sunday morning at 5:50. She was admitted to the hospital two weeks ago.

She was born in Westfield, Chautauqua county, New York, the daughter of Thomas and Anna Bell Ingram. On oct. 27,1881 she was united in marriage with Stephen Nash Abbott, at Westfiedl. N.Y. Mr. Abbott died several years ago.
Mrs. Abboott was a member of Christ Episcopal church; president of the Woman's guild of Christ Episcopal church for the past 30 years; oldest chapter member of E.C. Blackmat chapter, Order of Eastern Star; member of What-so-Ever circle of King's Daughters; and a member of the board of directors of the old peoples home.
Surviving are two daughters, Miss Jennie A. Abbott and Mrs. Catherine M. Applegate of Burlington; and a son Stephen T. Abbott, St. Joseph, MO.
Funeral services will be held in Christ church Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The cortege will leave Prugh's chapel at 1;45.

The following friends will serve as pallbearers at the service; Reuben L. Walters, Raymond H. Wright, Charles A. Duffy, J.W. mcElroy, Clyde H. Topping and Perry E. Haist Sr.
interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
