Patrick J. "Irish" Wells, 67, of 905 S.10th St., died at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8,1992, at Burlington Medical Center. Born March 29, 1924, in Rock Island, Ill., he was the son of Edward and Laura E, Longbine Wells.
He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He was a truck driver for Churchill Truck Lines in Burlington. After retiring. he operated an antique shop. He was of the Catholic faith, and a member of the
American Legion and Knights of Columbus. He lived with a friend, Donald Lee Mason. Survivors include two nieces, Patricia Ann Wells of East Moline. Ill., and Wendy Lue Jett of Moline. Ill.; and one nephew, Paul Phillip Wells of Grand Mound. The rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday followed by family visitation until 8:30 p.m.at Prugh's Chapel. The service for Mr. Wells will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St.Patrick's Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
