Mrs. Marguerite Josephine Wells, 68, of 1608 S. Central died in St. Francis hospital at 1:15 a.m. Thursday, July 27. She was the daughter of Elmer and Iva May Fouts and was born Sept. 4,1903, in Ottumwa.
She married the late John Earnest Wells at Burlington on Aug. 12, 1940. Mrs. Wells was employed by F. W. Woolwort!l Co. for 35 years, retiring in 1964. She was a charter member of the Eagles auxiliary.
