Mr. Lloyd Eugene Wellington Sr., 66, of Burlington died at 11:03 a.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at Great River Medical Center.
Born July 27, 1947 in Burlington, he was the son of Herman and Velva Hester Wellington. On April 10, 1966 he married Retha Lewis.
Mr. Wellington worked for Gladstone Grain. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, trapping and snowmobiling.
Survivors include his wife, Retha Wellington of Burlington; one son, Lloyd E. Wellington Jr. of Burlington; one daughter, Frances L. (Eugene) Wellington of Burlington; two granddaughters; two brothers, Larry Wellington of Florida and Terry Wellington of Ohio; one sister, Linda Wellington of Florida; foster sister, Debbie and foster brother, Randy White.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson.
The graveside service and inurnment for Mr. Wellington will be 3:30 p.m. Monday, February 24th in Aspen Grove Cemetery. The Rev. Marshall Jackman will officiate. Cremation has been entrusted to Lunning Chapel.
